"Ajari Tanaka has always shared with his students his love and appreciation for the traditional and contemplative arts of Japan, such as calligraphy, tea ceremony, martial arts, music and flower arranging. Ajari has always encouraged his students to not only develop an appreciation for these cultural arts, but to undertake their practice. As a master calligrapher, Ajari has spent a great deal of time and energy training his students in the contemplative art of Shodo.
